Apr 5th, 2008 - I keep outgrowing my clothes pretty quickly and so it was time to get more new clothes for me. There is a huuuuuuugggeee mall close to where we live called the Grapevine Mills Mall. It has so many stores, I was not able to count (you see, I can only count upto 10 right now). My mother did all the shopping while I ran around the mall giving my dad a hard time. There were many small rides for children, colorful toy stores, food court and other things to distract me. There are so many childrens stores in this mall, Children's Place, Tommy Kids, Osh Kosh BGosh, KBToys, Gymboree.....I think a few people were smiling at me because I was trying on all the sandals on display in the shoe stores. We spent about 4 hours in the mall and returned home.
My summer wardrobe is ready....

April 3rd, 2008 - In the quest to find me a new park, my parents have found an even bigger park, its called the Cimmaron Park and its about a mile away from where we live. The park has many things for everyone to do, basketball courts and hoops, slides, swings, kids play areas, soccer field, volleyball playground. I had a good time as I came sliding down the slides, walked through the tunnels, walked the bridges. My parents liked this park too and I think I will be having more fun here for the rest of the year. |

Mar 30th, 2008 - My parents bought a crib for me when I was born and I think I slept in it for about a year. After that, I have relocated to my parents bed for the last 1 year. Now that we moved to Dallas, my father reassembled the crib so that it could be a day bed that I can jump in and out of. I quite like it as you can see. I promptly climbed into it, made myself comfortable and started reading a book. My parents are probably hoping that I will like the bed as much at night as I am loving it right now. We shall see. |

Mar 26th, 2008 - My parents were searching for a new park for me to go play. There is one right behind our apartment called Rodeo Park and its on Rodeo Drive (not the famous one). The park is pretty small compared to the one 1 went to in Los Angeles. It has a slide and a couple of swings. There is also a small basketball half-court. I had a lot of fun sliding down the slides with my parents helping me when needed. There were many other kids in the park today because it was a beautiful sunny day.

Mar 16th, 2008 - My parents wanted to visit the Hindu Temple in Irving since we moved to a new place. The temple is very close to where we live so my parents were very happy. Since it was a Sunday, there were many people at the temple. The temple is very clean and big. We were just in time for the main Aarti. I sat and listened to the Bhajan and then stood in line to take the tirth and prasad. After that I said "Swami Deva Hooood Kari" and asked for blessings. There is a small playground in the back of the temple for children to play and I ran around the ground for a while before we left home.
It was a beautiful sunny day as you can see from the pictures. I will be coming here on a regular basis.

Mar 8th, 2008 - For the past week we have been living in a hotel because our apartment was not ready for us to move in. Today we got the keys to our apartment and we checked out of our hotel and moved into our apartment in the morning. The entire apartment was empty because our stuff had not yet arrived from Los Angeles which was great for me as it meant unrestricted access to the entire house. I had a great time running around the house, opening all the door, running in the kitchen, pulling things out etc. I know my joy will be shortlived because soon the gates and knobs will arrive. Let me make hay while the sun shines. |

Mar 3rd, 2008 - I was born in sunny California and have never experienced a snowfall in my life, although I saw some snow when I was in Des Moines last year. It does not snow much in Dallas, maybe once or twice a year and it happened 2 days after I landed here. I think the Snow Gods were waiting for me to arrive. My dad took me out and I felt the snow flakes on my fingers. There were some other people at the hotel who were also seeing snow for the first time and they were jumping and screaming like little kids. I really enjoyed the snow but my dad had to take me in as I was not adquately protected. |

Mar 1, 2008 - The day has finally dawned for us to leave Los Angeles and head to Dallas. I was born here and this will be my first long distance move for me. We woke up early and made sure we were packed up and ready to go. We took a shuttle from the hotel to the AA terminal, checked in and took our flight to Dallas. My parents have had a tough time with me on a flight and so they were a bit nervous and well prepared to keep me entertained. They were armed with food, drinks, DVDs, toys and anything they could do to keep me busy. |
We had a smooth flight with no trouble from me and we arrived in Dallas in the evening. We picked up our luggage and headed to our hotel in Irving. A new chapter in my life starts in Dallas. Wish me luck.

Feb 21st, 2008 - My Bapamma is going to Seattle again and she will return to India from there. I won't see her again on this trip. The next time I will see her will be sometime next year. I had a good time while she was here. She would take me down in the garage to play, she would take me to the terrace, let me eat out of her plate, she would sing to me, everything you expect from your grandmother. Bye Baapa.....I will miss you.

Feb 20th, 2008 - Today is my dad's birthday, so "Happy Birthday Da-eey". Our birthdays are only 5 days apart which is really good. My dad's birthday marks the end of a few celebrations in the last month starting with my mother's birthday, my parents wedding anniversary, my birthday and my father's birthday. We went to Marina Del Rey in the morning for some shopping and lunch and in the evening we went to the Krishna temple in Culver City. I had a great time in the temple following people around. We also went to the vegetarian restaurant in the temple where I got a cookie.
My parents also bought me a nice Indian kurta and pajama.
